CPL Poker Podcast: Online Poker
Latest Podcast Release
Episode 120 released 1/23/12
Includes:Interview with Nels Peterson
The CPL Poker Podcast began as the home poker league lovechild of Mark Cardenas and Phil Fuehrer. Originating as the "Cardenas Poker League" - today, "CPL" is simply a moniker - like "UB" is for
Ultimate Bet.
We now serve as Minnesota's and the entire Upper Midwest's longest running poker podcast (basically a web radio show).
Both Mark and Phil were prolific online until "Black Friday". Phil also plays weekly with the FreePokerNetwork bar league. He ranked as high as 8th in the 50-99 tourneys played category (of 3000+
players nation-wide in that category). He is currently listed in the 100-199 matches played category and hoivers around 10th nationally out of more than 2000 players.
Check it all out and be sure to take a look at our home league resources, too.

Hey, played the online 9 satellite. Won a seat in the next level, If I win that tourney, I get a free trip to Vegas. But a couple of funny things. Once we reach the number, the touney kept going. Normally the other sites end the tourney, but they made us play. A couple of us knew better and just went all in. I lasted a couple of hands, but one of the guys that wanted to quit, kept winning. He hit one outer after runner runner to win the thing. A nice touch, The final table is different than the other tables, and when you go heads ups, the put the money on the table. Fun Reply to this

I've been thinking of getting into online poker but I'm a little cautious of regulated it is. Just seems like scripts can be manipulated or hacked. I know a couple of players that use and some others are doubtful. Reply to this
